SHARING STORIES
THROUGH LGBTQIA+ FILMS
Through personal stories, conversation and one-to-one relationships, we can help to expose bias, create human connection and change hearts and minds. P&G authentically reflects LGBTQIA+ voices and produces award-winning films amplifying LGBTQIA+ stories.
Coded
“Coded: The Hidden Love of J.C. Leyendecker” celebrates the prominent illustrator and his subtle inclusion of LGBTQIA+ imagery in his advertisement artwork. Through inspirational storytelling, Coded rediscovers Leyendecker’s love and work against the backdrop of modern-day struggles for LGBTQIA+ acceptance.

They Will See You
In the short film, “They Will See You,” P&G explores its history of LGBTQIA+ representation in advertising and shares their journey to the authentic representation of LGBTQIA+ people. Meet the inspirational people whose lives have been impacted by seeing increased representation on screen.
Out of the Shadows
“Out of the Shadows” tells the story of a group of gay and lesbian employees at P&G’s Cincinnati headquarters who bravely joined forces to fight for equal rights in the workplace in the early 1990s. It was a tough battle—they faced a conservative culture within the company and in Cincinnati at large. But these trailblazers were relentless—and won.
The Words Matter
30 year ago, at the height of the AIDS epidemic, in one of the most conservative cities in America, our colleague Michael Chanak spoke out to make sure the LGBTQIA+ community was being protected. “The Words Matter” seeks to honor Michael for his gift to generations of P&G employees.
